Diversity colloquium series.
Aim: Seek diverse scholar perspectives to psychological research, while providing opportunities for promoting scholars from minority communities and early career researchers.
Climate Survey.
Aim: Developing an understanding of student perspectives and experiences related to diversity, equity and inclusion in the department
Identifying BIPOC scientists.
Aim: creating resources of prominent researchers from diverse backgrounds can be a good first step towards diversifying our syllabi. Professors can use them to find work to include in their syllabi.
DEIC Website.
Aim: Create a website for the Rutgers-Newark Psychology DEIC to enhance visibility of our efforts for both current and prospective students, post announcements and resources, etc.
Title IX/DEI Resources.
Aim: In an effort to create and maintain a safe environment for our faculty and students, the DEIC is working to compile resources that provides in-depth information on Title IX and DEI, reporting procedures, and other resources and tools provided by Rutgers University)
